Food and drinks may influence the quality of your sleep. They can either improve or make it even worse. If you do not want to suffer from insomnia, watch what you eat and drink before going to bed.
You do not have to go to sleep hungry and thirsty. The point is to learn to make the right food choices.
1. Red Meats
Eat some vegetables before going to bed. You can add a bit of fruits too. But avoid fatty protein like lamb. If you wish, you can snack on low-fat yogurt and cottage cheese. Your sleep will be deeper if your digestive system doesn’t have to work hard. As we know, protein takes hours to be absorbed so find a better alternative.
